Frequently asked questions

Venue Questions

1. What is included in your site fee?

  • Our basic site fee of $10,000 (up to 75 guests) includes access to our Honeymoon Cottage, the 1900 Barn, Grain Silo, 2 bathrooms, Vintage Shasta Trailer, Flower Shop, and the Farmhouse Grounds. This also includes use of our custom collection of Farm Tables and comfortable Farm Chairs to seat 75 Guests. We will provide a lovely 20 x 40 Tent that is Certified Fire Proof and Column Free.

2. What kind of Tent do you have?

  • Yes, we will provide a tent with retractable panels (two sides of the tent have clear panels with views of the Farm). The tent we provide is a 20 x 40 “Fiesta” Tent that seats 60 to 75 guests comfortably for dinner (depending on table layout and style of food service). If you chose to include the tent in your event, the tent is professionally installed, and is ASCE Certified for Wind, as well as Certified Flame Resistant. Tent upgrades available at an additional charge.

3. What if I have more than 75 guests?

  • We apologize, but we are only doing smaller weddings of up to 75 guests.

4. When can we access the Farm on the day of the event?

  • The Farm and outbuildings will be open from 10am-10pm on the day of the event. Noise Ordinance is strictly enforced. (Boulder County Ordinance). Farm Property closes at 11PM.

5. What about the Historic Farm House?

  • For our 2024 Wedding season the main Farmhouse will not be available for wedding use.

6. Can I rent the entire Farmhouse for myself and my guests without an event?

  • Absolutely! The 4 Bedroom 3.5 Bath Historic Farmhouse is available for overnight accommodations with a 7 night minimum for non events. Please see our listing on Airbnb HERE or inquire privately for availability.

7. What about Winter Weddings?

  • We will happily host a winter wedding! We have had several successful winter weddings on the Farm.

8. Do you have General Liability Insurance?

  • Yes. We have a $1,000,000 General Liability Farm Policy with Liberty Mutual Insurance.

9. Do you have a list of preferred caterers?

  • Yes, please see our vendor page. We require all food that is bought to the Farm be prepared in certified Colorado DOH kitchens.

10. Do I need a Wedding or Event Planner?

  • Yes, we highly recommend it. The Boulder Farmhouse will happily provide tables, chairs, and tent, however we do not do any event or further wedding day coordination.

11. Where can my guest stay?

  • There are plenty of accommodations throughout the area, within minutes of our venue. Please see our Vendor Section.

12. How do I get to the farm?

  • We are minutes from major transportation routes. When attending your event we encourage you to use shuttle vans and carpooling. Please see our Vendor Section.

13. Is camping allowed?

  • No.

14. Can we bring our own Alcohol?

  • Yes, however you must have bartenders who are “TIPS” certified in Colorado to pour alcohol. Please support our local brewers, and see our vendor page for more information.

15. Can we have live music?

  • We love music, especially in the Barn. Our neighbors and animals would prefer you keep it acoustic, however DJs are allowed.
